Gourmet Harvest Festival
Vancouver Island’s Feast of Fields is held annually in September. Locations for Vancouver Island Feast of Fields in previous years have been held at Kildara Farms in North Saanich and Parry Bay Sheep Farm in Metchosin.
Feast of Fields 2015 was held at a venue in Shawnigan Lake called O.U.R. Ecovillage a 25 acre, permaculture based, working farm and educational demonstration site for natural building, organic and permaculture food production and sustainable living.
Farm Folk City Folk are the organizers of Feast of Fields and use the event as an annual fundraiser, contributing to regional projects connecting farmers and chefs; field and table.
The 2016 event is yet to be announced. Be sure to attend this grazing feast of this summer’s bounty showcasing chefs, farmers, fishers, ranchers, food artisans, vintners, brewers, distillers and other beverage producers from across the province.
