Deol Estate Winery, is a family owned and operated winery in the Cowichan Valley. With a rich history of growing grapes in the Okanagan, in 1999, the family bought a former dairy farm north of Duncan. In 2000, they developed a 23-acre vineyard growing varietals including Gamay, Maréchal Foch, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and a few others. Originally, Deol sold grapes to other Vancouver Island wineries but in 2007, looking to extract more value from their farm, they kept back enough fruit to make 1,600 cases of wine.
Deol prides itself in producing 100% Estate-grown grapes. Everything from harvesting, fermentation & bottling is done on site. Wines include Chardonnay, Iced Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Blanc de Noir, Gamay Rosé, Pinot Noir, Gamay Noir, Marechal Foch.
