Cherry Point Vineyards became one of the first licensed wineries on Vancouver Island in 1994. Today the 24-acre vineyard is the second largest on Vancouver Island. Owners Xavier Bonilla and Maria Clara are committed to making estate-grown wines. Varietals include Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Auxerrois, Pinot Noir, Agria, Ortega, Seigerrebe and Castel. Also home of the world-famous Cowichan Blackberry Dessert Wine and Solera.
The beautiful herb garden patio seating and indoor pavilion dining room overlooking the vines are the backdrop for many great events such as dinner theatre, long table dinners in the vineyard, a Friday evening patio oyster bar, and wine release parties. Cherry Point also hosts weddings and large events.
