Blue Grouse Estate Winery is tucked away on a sunny slope of Vancouver Island’s Cowichan Valley, close to Duncan. New owners Paul & Cristina Brunner took over the winery in 2012. Their vision was to make Blue Grouse a destination winery which included building a new tasting room and rebranding the wine.
Bailey Williamson previously from Road 13 in the Okanagan, is the Winemaker. Paul Biffin is the Vineyard Manager.
The Blue Grouse label is already well-established on Vancouver Island with a lineup of estate-grown wines. In order to expand production capacity and business a second label “Quill” was introduced featuring a red, white and rosé wines made from grapes sourced from Okanagan vineyards.
Estate wines include Ortega, Bacchus, Pinot Gris, Siegerrebe, Pinot Noir, Black Muscat.
