The Beaufort Vineyard & Estate Winery was the first winery to be established in the Comox Valley, on beautiful Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
Beaufort Vineyards was founded by Susan and Jeff Vandermolen, who owned the winery from 2006 to 2013.
In February 2014, well-known Hollywood filmmaker James Cameron and his wife Suzy Amis Cameron purchased the winery. His goal is to maintain the winery and offer world-class, award-winning wines at affordable prices to his new friends and neighbours in the Comox Valley.
The Vandermolens remain responsible for Beaufort’s winemaking activities, and provide additional consulting services.
New vineyard and winery manager, Mark Timmermans and his wife Freya will oversee operations at Beaufort.
In 2015, Beaufort converted the big barn at the top of their driveway into a new tasting room and winemaking facility. A beautiful wrap-around deck outside of the tasting room is a great place to bring a picnic and enjoy the view of the surrounding vineyards and mountains.
